The Dark Light is a Hudson Valley Based Trio
The Dark lIght brings together three dynamic musicians, Ben Senterfit, Josh Colow, and Kristen Latteri. Rooted in a blend of Country, Soul, and Folk Rock, they perform as a guitar driven trio anchored by rich vocal harmonies, expanding to a full band. The group blurs the line between old school outlaw country, soul grooves, and dense harmonies. The Dark Light’s setlist mixes original songs with reimagined covers.
The Band
- Ben Senterfit is a musician, producer, songwriter and performer who has spent a lifetime working in every corner of the music world. As a producer, he has worked with a wide range of artists including United Dope Front, Miles Taylour, and Paul Rivers Bailey. He has aslo stared the stage with musicians like Medeski, Martin & Wood, Emmy Lou Harris, and Bonnie Raitt. Ben runs The Community Music Space, in Red Hook, a music school and recording studio.
- Josh Colow is a guitarist and singer-songwriter who has carved out a unique, genre-defying career spanning across Europe and the United States. He started playing professionally at 15 years old opening for legends such as Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, and James Cotton. He has worked with luminary musicians such as Tony Levin, Jesse Winchester, and Levon Helm. He has been a performing and touring musician for over 40 years.
- Kristen Latteri is a vocalist with a passion for storytelling and acoustic vocal harmonies. She sings with an honest, heartfelt style that feels warm and personal.
